# SAT Objects

The basic unit of BTC, the satoshi, is precisely such a valuable and meaningful digital object. We call it a "satoshi object." It cannot be created out of thin air, and it can never be destroyed. If it belongs to you, it cannot be taken away. It is the first digital object in history to possess such memorable attributes. Its potential is limitless.
